High availability for GOB's Microsoft Dynamics NAV solutions

High availability design, for areas of operational use in middle-sized companies. The high availability of Microsoft Dynamics NAV solutions not only ensure that middle-sized companies are provided with business relevant data but they also act as an important competitive factor.

GOB's high availability design uses two modules: Virtualization and storage. Using hardware, high availability is achieved by mirroring the data centre – i.e. all system relevant components such as application servers, databases or storage systems are designed with redundancy and ideally are separated spatially from another in different fire protected sections.

If hardware problems occur then the system automatically switches over to another virtual server, all processes continuing to run without any interruptions. Applications such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SharePoint and Exchange are also included.

Over the last few years, demands relating to high availability have on the whole increased. Whereas before, often only the ERP solution was given high availability, today all operational systems are now included.
