The connection with other organizations is extremely important to us. Thanks to our networks we have many exciting opportunities for our colleagues and for interested parties outside GOB. An important building block is our cooperation with universities and academies. The connection between science and practical experience offers interesting incentives for both sides and it is a given for us as a regional, family-owned business to give useful insights into our work. 

We co-operate with the following organizations: 

Hochschule Niederrhein

We have had a cooperation with Prof. Dr. Ralf Kampker of the chair in Industrial Engineering [Hochschule Niederrhein Krefeld (Campus Süd)] since 2019. Each year, we welcome more than 40 students from bachelor or master studies here at GOB or online. The event is aimed at consolidating theoretical knowledge within the framework of the lecture “Materials management and production planning”. 

Before his professorship at the Hochschule Niederrhein, Prof. Dr. Ralf Kampker was managing director of HESS Autoteile (Hess Holding GmbH & Co. KG) for nearly 10 years. He focuses on business information systems at the faculty of Industrial Engineering. He had already focused on production planning and control at the RWTH Aachen, where he participated in the development of the PPS model.

Ruhr Universität Bochum

We have cultivated an animated exchange with the Ruhr Universität Bochum (RUB) and the chair in Sales & Marketing, especially with Prof. Dr. Christian Schmitz, since 2019. 
Since 2016, students interested in sales are offered the only opportunity in Europe for regular master studies in Sales Management at university: very hands-on with excellent career opportunities and a great level of support. The studies over 4 semesters interconnect the latest scientific findings with deep insights into management practice. Prof. Dr. Christian Schmitz and his team belong to the global top 3 in sales research and in conduct of negotiations.

Research focuses on the following areas (among others): Managing the personal selling process & managing the sales force, Self-expression management, Sales and marketing research methods.
