Developed using sector-specific competence & Microsoft expertise
unitop – our end-to-end ERP solution for the technical trade sector
Product ranges with many variants, binding delivery deadlines and requirements laid down by relevant standards that need clear evidence to be provided: we are more than familiar with the processes and challenges facing the technical trade sector. We have drawn on this sector-specific expertise to develop unitop and are continually improving our solution.
As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, we have combined our sector-specific competence with our in-depth Microsoft expertise: using these as our starting point, we have taken the standard version of Microsoft Business Central and have created sector-specific expansions in app form that are seamlessly integrated, scalable and future-proof. We adopt innovations from Microsoft at an early stage, implementing them in a practical way, so we can always provide you with tailor-made role centres (role-based working environments) and clearly operated process chains from quotation to delivery.

You can drag documents into the system via a drop zone, directly assign the relevant document or master data set and store them securely in the DMS for auditing purposes. Documents are generated and sent from within unitop; emails and activities are recorded to the data set. Investigation and document searches are also carried out centrally: if needed, this is displayed directly from within the task concerned.
Calls for tenders can be carried out in a structured way. Quotations from various suppliers then become comparable, and decisions are documented and can be reproduced later. That way, procurement teams are able to keep sight of prices, deadlines and quality assurance in equal measure.
Your key performance indicators are available at all times and can be decoded down to each individual entry. Your data remain consistent across departments and are seamlessly available on the system. That way, you can identify inconsistencies at an early stage and take action accordingly.

Driving your digital transformation
Rely on our end-to-end ERP solution for the technical trade sector
Say goodbye to freestanding solutions and rely on unitop, our innovative, future-proof ERP software solution that optimally maps your sector-specific processes in the technical trade sector, seamlessly integrating them into an end-to-end system:
unitop was created with integration in mind. So that documents and transactions are shared in a structured way, you can connect partner companies to the system via EDI. You can control how master data are shared via our universal connector – including master data synchronisation and data synchronisation indicators. The unitop HUB connects networked devices; open APIs mean that interfaces are always expandable. Our add-ons (POS, WMS or product configurator) will be seamlessly integrated if required.
The first thing we do is agree a defined objective and make sure that all of your processes are included. The next tasks to be performed are configuration, data migration, testing and training. The go-live will be closely monitored. After that, fixed contacts provide support during normal operation – in the cloud, with schedulable update and security processes.
Our customers from the technical trade sector tell us that their processes are now noticeably more stable: promised deliveries are becoming more reliable; reliance on storage and reworking is decreasing; complaints can now be dealt with more quickly and margins are becoming more transparent. Teams are using a shared body of data and decisions can be made with increased certainty.

FAQ from the technical trade sector
What is the difference between Premium and Essentials?
In addition to the Essentials functions, Dynamics 365 Business Central (Premium) contains the Production and Service Management modules. The reason why this is relevant to technical trade is because service items, maintenance contacts, deployment planning and production orders can be displayed as standard. After-sales processes can therefore be controlled and seamlessly documented, without using freestanding solutions.
Are add-ons compulsory to display the core processes in the technical trade?
No. unitop covers the core processes in the standard version. Our product configurator, WMS and POS add-ons are optional expansions that provide improved efficiency in the case of complex products, high warehouse throughput or sales from a fixed location. The AI basics add-on is already integrated from a technical point of view; billing only takes place based on the extent it is used.
How can we securely connect devices on our internal network?
Via the unitop HUB. This creates a secure bridge between the ERP and devices such as scanners, label printers or weighing scales, without data ever leaving your company’s network. The devices themselves are connected in a standardised way; individual device workflows can be expanded using plug-ins.
How is migration carried out?
We start by gaining a shared insight into your goals and processes. After that, we prepare your data and carry out a test run in a test environment. If everything goes according to plan, we then train your team and work with you when the system goes live. During the first few weeks, we will work closely by your side. Where useful, we will migrate existing documents and histories, so that you can seamlessly continue working.
Innovating. Transforming. Succeeding.
We provide comprehensive support — from process analysis and the appropriate unitop licensing to implementation and ongoing operation on the Microsoft platform.
